Brief Description: The Colección Chicana Pamphlet File was part of the larger Colección Chicana, located on the first floor of Love Library. The File includes clippings, brochures, pamphlets, reports and newsletters that document topics of interest for the local Chicana/o community as well as its activities. The collection is divided into two series: Subject Files and Newsletters and Newspapers. The Subject Files are arranged alphabetically by subject title and include information about events, services, people, and issues specific to the Chicana/o community. The Newsletters and Newspapers series is arranged alphabetically by publication title and includes local and regional Chicana/o periodicals.

Biographical Note for Colección Chicana Pamphlet File (1978-) : The Colección Chicana Pamphlet File was established as part of the larger Colección Chicana / Chicano Collection, which was transferred from the Centro de Estudios Chicanos to Love Library in 1978. The Collection as a whole was developed to facilitate research in Chicano studies on the SDSU campus and has continued to grow since its transfer. The Pamphlet File contains reports, newsletters, flyers, brochures and pamphlets that document issues, concerns and events within the Chicana/o community.
